How Does A Smile Restoration Work?
We offer our patients a variety of choices when choosing their treatment plan.
We offer our patients the latest technology for in office treatment, lab work, or coordinating treatment with another office.
It is our goal to make our patients smile transformation journey as easy as possible.
The Smile Restoration Process
Step 1: Personalized Consultation
Your first appointment begins with a consultation to discuss your oral concerns. We’ll then take dental x-rays or a 3D CT scan to evaluate your teeth. Then, you will meet with Dr. Williams to create your personalized smile restoration plan. The next step is to make an appointment that is convenient for you to begin your treatment.
If you are choosing implant retained dentures as your smile option, Dr. Williams will review with you the surgical procedural process and answer all your questions.
Step 2: The Day You Begin Your Smile Transformation
To ensure your comfort, we offer local anesthetic administered through the Wand system and we can provide you Nitrous if needed. Whether the treatment process is completed same day, involves using an outside lab, or requires an extended healing period, you can be guaranteed that you will receive only the highest quality of treatment in our office.
For Same-Day Implant Supported Dentures, your implants will be placed by our trusted Oral Surgeon. Dr. Williams will then place your temporary teeth, so you leave with a new set of teeth. Your final prosthesis will be hand-crafted by a skilled lab technician to ensure a lasting fit once the healing period is completed.
Step 3: Follow-Up Appointments
If healing time is required before your restoration can be completed, you will have follow-up appointments with Dr. Williams to track your progress as needed.
Implant Supported Dentures require a healing time of 3-6 months. At your follow-up appointments we will be checking to see how your implants are integrating and healing in your mouth. We are always available to answer any questions you may have about your implants.
We will also be providing you with a timeline for your final restorations.
Step 4: Finishing Restorations For Your Best Smile
For some this final step can happen the same day you start your treatment or for others it occurs after a healing period or lab processing has taken place. Either way, you now have the smile you always wanted.
Once your implants are fully integrated into your jaw, it is time to attach your final denture restoration! We’ll provide you with general care recommendations and answer any questions you may have. After your appointment, it’s important that you maintain your aftercare with us at Ascent Family Dental to ensure lasting results of your new set of teeth!
You should plan to follow up with two visits a year to help you maintain your new smile.
