Since there’s such a high demand for dentists to open on Saturdays and Sundays, some dental clinics open on weekends exclusively to cater to those who cannot make it to the dentist during the week. While these sorts of clinics are relatively rare, they exist and can be a great option for people busy during the week.

Things to consider before booking an emergency appointment

The type of dental insurance that you have will also be a consideration. Those with a PPO dental plan will have a much greater choice of dentists. In contrast, people with DHMO dental plans have a much more limited range of dental practitioners to choose from, so they may be unable to find a dentist that’s close enough to visit.
